Leisure and sports

You can find out about leisure at our centres...

Facilities

All of our leisure facilities are built to meet accessibility standards, offering accessible changing rooms and toilet facilities. There are lifts in all of our multi-level establishments.

For more information, please contact the centres directly and they will be happy to help you.

The swimming clubs using our facilities are Swim 21-accredited. We also offer one-to-one ‘learn to swim’ sessions, along with group-based classes.

Sports and Social - for over 18-year-olds

For over-18s with additional needs, we hold sports and social sessions at our Newton-le-Willows and Queens Park centres. The sessions run from 10am to 3pm. Participants must provide their own lunch, and may be accompanied by another adult if required.

Young Carers

Our GoActive scheme now offers a reduced membership rate for our young carers. For details contact the Carers' Centre.

Leisure Centre - Club Activities

Our leisure centres play host to many sports clubs across the borough. Club and contact details can be found by accessing the links above.
