TESSA Easter Update

We are delighted to announce that after the Easter half-term holiday, the TESSA Triage panel will be expanding its membership to include the SEND Information, Advice and Support Service, (IASS).

IASS is a free, confidential and impartial service that is available to parents in the borough that helps parents play an informed role in their child’s education.

The service currently provides information, support and advice on matters relating to children with SEND and this expertise will provide another useful dimension to the weekly TESSA triage process.

This expansion will allow some concerns from parents to be raised as part of TESSA triage. The IASS worker will then provide feedback on behalf of the multi-agency team if this is appropriate. This may include signposting or referring families to some of the support being delivered via Family Hubs.

IASS also run a number of regular, general group advice sessions for parents and carers as part of the Family Hubs offer.
